PLEADING
I, Johanna Maynard (04-2196) affirm to uphold the 1993 Declaration of War against Exploiters of Lakota Spirituality.
Therefore, I will do as follows:
1. I shall hereby and henceforth declare war against all persons who persist I exploiting, abusing and misrepresenting the sacred traditions and spiritual practices of our Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota people.
2. I shall call upon all our Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota brothers and sisters from reservations, reserves, and traditional communities in the United States and Canada to actively and vocally oppose this alarming take-over and systematic destruction of our sacred traditions.
3. I shall urge our people to coordinate with their tribal members living in urban areas to identify instances in which our sacred traditions are being abuse, and then to resist this abuse, utilizing whatever specific tactics are necessary and sufficient—for example demonstrations, boycotts, press conferences, and acts of direct intervention.
4. I shall especially urge all our Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota people to take action to prevent our own people from contributing to and enabling the abuse of our sacred ceremonies and spiritual practices by outsiders; for, as we all know, there are certain ones among our own people who are prostituting our spiritual ways for their own selfish gain, with no regard for the spiritual well-being of the people as a whole.
5. I shall assert a posture of zero-tolerance for any “white man’s shaman” who rises from within our communities to “authorize” the expropriation of our ceremonial ways by non-Indians; all such “plastic medicine men” are enemies of the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota people.
6. I shall urge traditional people, tribal leaders, and governing councils of all other Indian nations, to join us in calling for an immediate end to this rampant exploitation of our respective American Indian sacred traditions by issuing statements denouncing such abuse; for it is not the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota people alone whom spiritual practices are being systematically violated by non-Indians.
7. I shall urge all our Indian brothers and sisters to act decisively and boldly in our present campaign to end the destruction of our sacred traditions, keeping in mind our highest duty to Indian people: to preserve the purity of our precious traditions for our future generations, so that our children and our children’s children will survive and prosper in the sacred manner intended for each of our respective peoples by our Creator.
In addition, I include: Observations on Internet Exploiters of American Indian Spirituality.
COMPLAINT
That Floyd ”Looks for buffalo” Hand has abused these spiritual laws and practices and violated federal and state laws, tribal laws; causing harm to other human beings. That Floyd “Looks for buffalo” Hand has violated state laws of ‘patient to doctor’ services; specifically speaking of my complaint of being drugged “herbed” lied and manipulated to and sexually exploited. That Floyd “looks for buffalo” Hand has done similar acts while under the disguise of ceremony to other women; telling them to take their clothes off, or specifically bra, “because the spirits don’t like metal.” That people I have met and know that has been involved with Floyd “looks for buffalo” Hand has suffered from confusion, financial loss and or manipulation, labeling as “troublemaker” for addressing these issues. That Floyd “Looks for buffalo” Hand continues to forwardly present himself through avenues that are not consistent of a traditional healer, spiritual leader, spiritual advisor, medicine man, bundle keeper, and headsman. That Floyd “looks for Buffalo” Hand presents himself through internet and media as a traditional healer, traditional medicine man, Lakota shaman, Avatar star woman keeper, UFO contacted for the transmission of prophecy, and end time prophet.
In addition, I have the right to express my concern. Because of within a day period I complied the enclosed information off the internet that has references to Floyd “looks for buffalo” Hand, specifically questioning his filing in US District court pleadings and complaint pertaining to abuse of American Indian spirituality, ceremonies and spiritual laws. That Floyd “looks for Buffalo” Hand appears to be doing similar practices of James Ray.
“Ray is a spiritual vampire who will use whatever means necessary to turn a profit. He and others like him that profit from our culture must be held accountable for their continual fraud and desecration.” Quote Floyd Hand, Indian Country Today, 12-11-09, 2009; Arizona sweat lodge deaths said to desecrate Lakota tradition.
That Floyd “looks for buffalo” Hand has never accounted for his actions, words, in reference to the incident of him providing and performing traditional healing ceremonies. That others unknown to me has described similar behavior and exploitation of ceremonies that Floyd “Looks for buffalo” Hand has conducted.
That Floyd “Looks for buffalo “ Hand cease and desist his filing in US District Court until the Oglala Sioux Tribe and The Great Sioux Nation Treaty council has time to evaluate and address this matter.
The information above and below is correct to the best of my knowledge. Therefore, I hereby ask Oglala Sioux Tribal Representatives, Law Enforcement Agencies, and spiritual leaders of the people to address the above complaint. I request the proper representatives will take responsive action to conclude and rectify.
Respectfully submitted, 11 or 12 day of , 2010.

This pleading written by Johanna Maynard, Grandmother Dives From the Sky, our Two Foot Club, a Rainbow Warrior of Prophecy.
Lakota greeting and salutation is, "Pilamayo", meaning, in Love and Light (luminous and numinous pure Love.) Interpretation from your Iyes(h)ka: "Traveling over the roads, we find and greet the heart, to know the spirit longs not to be apart, and that's where I long to be with you and me, come let's dance, and fly to eternity", sung by White Buffalo Calf Woman, your Twin Deer Mother
January 17, 2009
Pilamayo Relatives,
This document Pleading " to affirm to uphold the 1993 Declaration of War against Exploiters of Lakota Spirituality," has been signed and notarized, and sent to the Tribal Council, by Johhanna Maynard, Grandmother Dives From the Sky, our Two Foot Club, who has joined the walk talk with Rainbow Warrior of Prophecy. The War is about those, who don't walk the talk, and use Lakota spirituality, to earn money, when sacred ceremonies are gifts from the Great Spirits, and no monies are to be made from these gifts, as part of the Great Give-A-Way.
I urge all the four directions, to send love to hate, and to teach our brothers and sisters, that we are all gifts from the Great Spirits, and our relatives need to be brought home as "Warriors Down". Teach others, that we the children of the Great Spirits, come to rescue the land, where the Green Grass grows and where the Spirit knows. Come home Rainbow Clan, for your Rainbow Colors guide you towards your knowing, and seek within, rather than without, where the light grows, "a Light From Within", to be the "Rising Sun".
Our men, need our women, to stand on the Red Road, the "Law of Love" to unite broken hearts, and be willing to fight for this only. Not for opposition, but to fight for the unity of the soul, "the hug". We fight, for what is right, the human heart that beats and the breath, that speaks honor of the laws, left written upon our hearts. It's a new dawning, where the song that rides the winds, flow to greet each other. Allow us to fight, for this only. And to bring as many of our "WARRIORS DOWN HOME".
The Lakota People are the Heart of the World, and in a time, when many want to come home, it is the Spiritual Embrace, that needs to be gifted to the soul, that runs free and wild. And to those, who get lost along the way, shall we rise up, to greet them, defeat them, and show just cause, to stab with with the loving heart, for "LAW of LOVE" is the "RED ROAD". It is a time, when the Red Road, the flesh of luminosity and the Blue Road, the soul of numinosity, cross to be the "Rising Sun", a new birth for a new evolutionary period, the third phase of the rolling hills in time.
I would call Floyd "Looks For Buffalo" Hand a Spirit Dancer, rather than a Medicine Man or an Interpreter (iyeska), because he is a Voice for the people, yet, the people are experiencing, shame, withdrawal, and have learned to be like their White Fathers, and now, the White Fathers are coming home to the Red People to start to learn from their children, let us teach our Brother Floyd Hand, what love truly is, by forgiving him, for what he has done wrong, but also to send Elders to teach him, about his own exploitation of his own Spirituality. There is much need to forgive on all roads to happiness. And when the Woman stands up for what is wrong, she says, you have not used a heart, and you need make changes to your behavior, that our men, will act by "Cutting off their heads and start using their hearts", and then we pray, they choose, the Law and Medicine of Woman, she who brings the gifts of the world, LIFE.
Man Medicine, means, that a heart of a man, can heal another who is in pain and suffering. But real medicine can only be gifted by "Woman". In ancient days, if a man lifted his voice or heart against a woman, he was removed, and if he lifted his hands, which were meant to protect woman, against her, the village would even kill such a man. In a day, when this type of behavior has turned right around, man continues to rape, beat and spit into woman faces, simply, because they have no honor left within themselves. Our men, need us, and woman have suffered for our men. Now woman has waged war on Spirituality, to say, we have had enough, because we are here to save our men, our "Warriors Down". We are here to bring them home to their heavenly virtues, rather, than to their hatred and misguided deeds, all because they have forgotten to forgive our forefathers. This is the Law of every Holy Book, that we shall forgive our Parents, even our White Parents. For the world is now unifying, and our spirit is growing hungry for wisdom and enlightenment. Prophecy is all around us, and Rainbow Warriors of Prophecy are coming home looking for answers. It is the Woman, who must bring the Man, to their senses, where the Heart lives. To help them realize, that they are Great if only they could start to forgive, and start to lead us homewards. Yes, Man leads Woman on the Red Road!
Unity is not going to be easy, but we are willing to even die for this cause, because if we don't, Heaven will come to Earth and cleanse us. We need be ready, to receive rather than take. Being part of the Great Give-A-Way, means, Sacred Ceremonies are gifted to all the peoples of the four colors, and if a Medicine Person, does not give it away, then they do not honor their own spirituality. When we care for our Sacred Ceremony leaders, we offer them gifts too, for providing us with Spiritual Sustenance, but not until the Sacred and Holy Ceremonies are complete, not as a requirement, but as an offering of Respect and Honor to our Elders for carrying on the Traditions of Lakota Spirituality. As the Heart of the World, ordained on the Western Shore, our tears pool into Rivers, where our Soul's Reflection shows us where the Sun Rises within, it is the Spirit of the Lake People, the Sioux Nation, who shall teach the sacred embrace necessary to continue on in a world that is rapidly changing, even a time of unfolding prophecy.
Seekers are on the verge of collapse, as heaven and earth collides within our souls and flesh realms, we enter into a new realization, that we are beings of light, that long to be loved, and are willing to fight for the right to feel and express love in an honorable way, through sacred ceremonies and vision quests we seek refuge. Teaching our children, to honor thy parents, and teaching parents to honor thy children, will bring us home to the Great circle of life.
When the wind blows, speak the heart glows, and the days know, who you are. Trust the insides, the heart that gives rise, to the soul, that longs to be free. And when we feel good, let the joy know, that we honor ourselves in this wind. And when all is gone, and our children carry on, let them speak greatness of our lives. We are going to be, the heart that longs to be free, and it's time, to enter our realize. And we are greatness, if we face us, look at the waters edge, and sea who you are. The perfect mirror, the perfect warrior, the perfect child, who longs to be free. And I know that we need each other, to gain some wisdom on how to survive. Woman longs for Man to hold her, and to apologize for all he did wrong. And our Leaders, who took from us, we expect you to start to give us reign, for it's a mountain (stand up for what is right), that gallops forwards, to bring the snow of pure rivers (sacred blessings), where salmon do swim (survive). And there above the skies, we hear alibis (we can forgive), and the lullabies, they can ring true. If only we could sea, the heart of you and me, where the blue (soul, dark, heaven) does cross the red (flesh, light, earth). And when we find the road, where our Brothers grows (on the return home), then our Sisters knows (Nose, bridge to heaven, the smell of perfume, where sweet flowers in bloom grow to return home to pollinate, the planted seeds. Woman leads Man to heaven!), we have come home. It's a star that glows, the morning star, the rising sun, that always knows. And my heart longs to feel, the happiness on our heels, and we walk and dance to the tune of pure love, we are coming home (all of us, the Rainbow Clan of the Four sacred directions/colors, that collide).
Man is our hero, our physical refuge in a world that is changing. Woman is our heartbeat, the embrace of our spirit that flows. We unite and cross the Red and the Blue, to be the Rising Sun with a View. Paradise, here we come, to you!
Your devoted servant loves, the song that brings us home, when we dance and sing, each day and night. Come home to my love, where the Angels are Doves, the children of the Great Spirits who do survive.

There is a place where the Buffalo (flesh of earth, the light that grows, the four sacred directions, where we do) roam, and my heart does know how to roam, to be across the rolling hills, to eat of the green grass and know my fills. I am nourished by this love, the place, where I live inside the dark, the heaven calling, to fill me up. We the Rainbow Clan do know (how to drink from this spiritual cup), that we are part of this sacred show, where the Horse (soul of heaven, the heart that knows) runs wild and free, to be with Warriors, the Dog (rainbow warrior of prophecy who stands their ground) who bleeds (follows the red road, the law of love, where the fighting is for the unification of the broken heart, to bring the warrior up).
Declaration of War Against Exploiters of Lakota Spirituality
WHEREAS we are the conveners of an ongoing series of comprehensive forums on the abuse and exploitation of Lakota spirituality, and
WHEREAS we represent the recognized traditional spiritual leaders, traditional elders, and grassroots advocates of the Lakota people, and
WHEREAS for too long we have suffered the unspeakable indignity of having our most precious Lakota ceremonies and spiritual practices desecrated, mocked and abused by non-Indian "wannabes", hucksters, cultists, commercial profiteers and self-styled "New Age shamans" and their followers, and
WHEREAS with horror and outrage we see this disgraceful expropriation of our sacred Lakota traditions has reached epidemic proportions in urban areas throughout the country, and
WHEREAS our precious Sacred Pipe is being desecrated through the sale of pipestone pipes at flea markets, powwows, and "New Age" retail stores, and
WHEREAS pseudo-religious corporations have been formed to charge people money for admission into phony "sweatlodges" and "vision quest" programs, and
WHEREAS sacrilegious "sundances" for non-Indians are being conducted by charlatans and cult leaders who promote abominable and obscene imitations of our sacred Lakota sundance rites, and
WHEREAS non-Indians have organized themselves into imitation "tribes," assigning themselves make-believe "Indian names" to facilitate their wholesale expropriation and commercialization of our Lakota traditions, and
WHEREAS academic disciplines have sprung up at colleges and universities institutionalizing the sacrilegious imitation of our spiritual practices by students and instructors under the guise of educational programs in "shaminism," and
WHEREAS non-Indian charlatans and "wannabes" are selling books that promote the systematic colonization of our Lakota spirituality; and
WHEREAS the television and film industry continues to saturate the entertainment media with vulgar, sensationalist and grossly distorted representations of Lakota spirituality and culture which reinforce the public's negative stereotyping of Indian people and which gravely impair the self-esteem of our children, and
WHEREAS individuals and groups involved in "the New Age Movement," in "the men's movement," in "neo-paganism" cults and in "shamanism" workshops all have exploited the spiritual traditions of our Lakota people by imitating our ceremonial ways and by mixing such imitation rituals with non-Indian occult practices in an offensive and harmful pseudo-religious hodgepodge, and
WHEREAS the absurd public posturing of this scandalous assortment of psuedo-Indian charlatans, "wannabes," commercial profiteers, cultists and "New Age shamans" comprises a momentous obstacle in the struggle of traditional Lakota people for an adequate public appraisal of the legitimate political, legal and spiritual needs of real Lakota people, and
WHEREAS this exponential exploitation of our Lakota spiritual traditions requires that we take immediate action to defend our most precious Lakota spirituality from further contamination, desecration and abuse,
THEREFORE WE RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. We hereby and henceforth declare war against all persons who persist in exploiting, abusing and misrepresenting the sacred traditions and spiritual practices of our Lakota, Dakota and Nakota people.
